Boomer Penn State Fan Doubles Down After Being Criticized For Racist "Cut Your Dreads" Letter To Penn State Safety
The letter above went viral on Twitter last night. To put it lightly, the letter was coded with racist language.
“We miss the clean-cut young men and women from those days”
“Watching the Idaho game on TV we couldn’t help but notice your — well–awful hair.”
The presumable player being talked about is Jonathan Sutherland:
I’m no hair expert, but the guy has pretty good hair.
If your hair is coming out of your helmet as a safety, I pressume you’re 10x better than you actually are. Maybe that’s the Richard Sherman / Troy Polamalu effect, but if I made the perfect NFL team, it would be exclusively of defensive backs with dreads.
Various players on Penn State tweeted out the photo of the letter, defending their teammate. At the bottom of said letter, you can see that it was written by Dave Petersen. Considering he gave away where he went to school and his name, he wasn’t that hard to locate.
When asked about the outrage about his letter, Petersen decided not to apologize, but instead, DOUBLE DOWN:
SOURCE-Reached by phone on Tuesday, Petersen said making a racial or cultural statement “was not the intent at all. I would just like to see the coaches get the guys cleaned up and not looking like Florida State and Miami guys.”
What an absolute psycho. I guess that’s what you get when youre a boomer Penn State fan. I would love to know if he thinks Joe Pa is innocent. Who am I kidding, he definitely does.
