God damnit Leeroy. You beautiful son of a bitch. Without that glorious charge 14 years ago today, who knows where gaming ends up in 2019. Very well could have fizzled out all together if not for that bravely reckless headfirst charge in 2005. It’s certainly a reality I never want to consider.

So thank you for your service Leeroy. The charge that launched millions of viral gaming hits for generations to come. Sure he may have been the sole reason his team lost that battle, but that sacrifice helped us nerds and true risk takers win the war. Goodnight, sweet prince.
