Filip Forsberg Is A Complete Mad Man

Filip Forsberg was videoed on Wednesday night before the Preds preseason game taping his socks and the video is haunting me.

This is insanity. Pure insanity. I have never, in all my years of being in a hockey locker room, seen anything like this. I can’t even describe what the hell he is doing here.

And to be honest, it all makes sense now. It all makes sense why Washington traded Forsberg for basically nothing. You’re the GM of a hockey team and you walk into the locker room and see this, I am trading the guy before he puts his shoulder pads on. Don’t care how good he is.

Hockey players are the most superstitious athletes in the world. So my guess is that Forsberg did this as a joke one time before a game, because no sane person tapes their shin pads like this, and then went off and scored a hattrick or something and decided he is never not doing it again. That is the only reasonable explanation for something like this.

It would be different if Forsberg was a guy in your beer league or some loser you played high school with. But this guy has scored 30 goals in the National multiple times in his career. He’s no joke. Which makes this guy a complete mad man.
