Trick Question: It’s both embarrassingly legendary and legendarily embarrassing. And it doesn’t matter. I don’t care that I’m a grown adult on the wrong side of 30 and stayed up till 2am on a Tuesday playing a video game. It’s about honor, integrity, and victory. I started something at 8pm on a whim, and dang nabbit, I fucking finished it.

You’re goddamn right it does. I honestly didn’t think we’d make it. It all culminated with a borderline suicidal moment 4 hours in when I got Glitter Bombed and, for some reason, started busting a move. Instead of aiming to take out a guaranteed kill like the Barry Pepper I trained to become I flash back to being that awkward white guy in the middle of the wedding dance circle of death and get sniped. Not good for the blood pressure or anything breakable/living within a punches reach. But we plowed through. And just like that, combined with the experience HQ General Devlin brings to the table (Fortnite Friday returns, wait for it…Friday) I think we may be building an invincible force here at Barstool. A pure Triumph Of The Will, just way less Nazi stuff. Like, zero Nazi stuff, just gonna steal the phrase.

For those who ask why we are doing this in the first place, or even better, who the hell would watch? It’s a fair question. This isn’t just about playing and viewing video games. There’s more to it than meets the eye. Twitch offers an unique experience that offers the Barstool folk to connect directly with the people. On other mediums we have like the radio, podcasts, or even social media, there’s no free flowing form of direct communication between us and the followers. Every Twitch broadcast is essentially an AMA where people it’s basically the only spot where people can come join and shoot the shit directly with us. Where else can you specifically sit down and rap with Big Cat, PFT, Clem, Nate, Riggsy or any of us for an hour at a time? That’s the point of all of this.
