The Idea For The Chiefs Backstreet Boys Play Last Night Came From The 1948 Rose Bowl
One of my favorite moments from last night's Super Bowl was the play above. A completely bizarre play design, but one that was so crazy that it worked for a solid 4-yard gain down to the goal line.
As I learned more about the play, I love it even more. On the surface, it may not look anything like the ultimate football guy play, but once we got more information that changed.
There is probably nothing more "football guy" than watching back a 1948 Rose Bowl to find new play ideas. I like this so much that I want the Jets to fire Adam Gase and hire Eric Bieniemy on the spot today. I want my coach watching football games from the 40s to find new play ideas. Better than what is going on inside the Jets facility right now. Plus Bieniemy got creative with it by having his players do a full spin.
