Isolation Chronicles III: Livestream Of People Betting On How Many Trains Will Go By My Apartment Window

Night III

The stakes were high tonight. Would it be 23 trains yet again? Would all the people who told me I was a moron be correct? Would this be my last night on train watch? If it was 23, yes. It would have to be my last.

Over 100 people placed their bets & Erika, Chaps & Clem tossed their hats in the game again:

At 6:30pm we kicked it off:

With several train criss-crosses, a Penske moving truck loitering outside the building and a little Chardonnay the scene was simply electric (ehh).. And the final number was?! 22!!! Not 23 like the haters said!

CONGRATS TO ALL TONIGHT'S WINNERS! Especially this first gent with the 11/11 guess, too.

Not gonna lie, even though it was a different train count tonight and that made it VERY exciting at the final countdown, I might be moving on to a new 6:30 - 7:30pm activity. Right now the only idea I have is "Bring a bag of stale bread down to the East River where the pigeons, seagulls, geese and ducks hang out and have people guess what type of bird will get each toss of bread you throw". So hopefully I have something better by tomorrow evening.

Full disclosure, I keep saying, "Ohhh yeah, went for some walks today, been moving around," when people call. But… survey says - That was a lie!

I have not left my apartment in two days now. On the plus side, I actually showered and brushed my hair and put on day clothes today. I know I can go outside and I'm not afraid to go outside but I'm sitting here doing God knows what and next thing you know it's like 2am. Social isolation has me feeling like I'm in a windowless casino… I'm losing track of time and getting the urge to smoke inside. I wasn't even sure what day it was today.

That being said, as soon as I hit 'publish' on this sucker I might head out for a late night stroll. (No I won't.) See you tomorrow!
