Arch Manning Was at the Georgia-South Carolina Game and Had the Entire Broadcast Dedicated to Him
Arch Manning was in Athens on Saturday for No. 2 Georgia's 40-13 win over South Carolina. There was a college football game involving one of the best teams in the country happening on the field, but if you didn't know any better, you'd have thought ESPN was specifically airing a special on manning's unofficial visit.
I had been watching Penn State-Auburn and didn't flip over to this game until the second half, after I saw everybody talking about Manning being the star of the show. And by the time I turned it on, the game was out of reach so that was all the more reason to talk about Manning. It was certainly the most I've ever heard a high school junior talked about during a college game, and it's right up there with as much as I've heard any junior talked about in a high school game. He was brought up during every drive.
But I suppose it's with good reason. Manning is the No. 1 player in the class of 2023 and is going to make some college football coach very happy. In the first game of his junior season on Friday night, Manning completed 19 of 34 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns and added 50 rushing yards and a score on the ground for good measure.

Manning has visits to Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss and Clemson scheduled throughout the rest of this season. Expect an even bigger media circus for those.
