We Finally Have Our First Footage Of Jaylen Brown Playing After Wrist Surgery And He Looks Incredible

The last time we saw Jaylen Brown play any sort of basketball was May 2nd. For those of you who might not be the best with math, that's a total of 147 days. It's felt like longer if we're being honest, and the questions about his health/availability as we inch closer to the season and the start of training camp is high on the list. I feel confident in saying that Jaylen is a pretty important piece of the puzzle. What we know from Jaylen's past is that he improves every year. It's not an accident that each season appears to be a career year, and now as he enters Year 6, I cannot wait to see where the next leap comes from. He already talked about how he wants to be a better passer and playmaker for others which is fantastic news

Here's what I know after watching that video. Jaylen isn't shying away from using that left wrist. There's no second guessing so not going full speed after his surgery/recovery. That's HUGE. This is the same injury Romeo had and it still feels like he's not totally back. The handles? They look like they're getting even tighter. We all saw what a difference that made last year when Jaylen's handles went from being a negative to a legit way for him to create offense. It just goes to show that with hard work, anyone can turn a negative into a weapon. How about the moves starting at 0:40?? That's the stuff that makes it move. The cross back in between the legs as a way to get in the middle of the paint and finish at the rim???

Let me get ahead of the hardos for a second. I know this is pick up. There are some NBA caliber guys (and Ben Simmons) out there. This isn't your local JCC or anything like that. That's not really what this is about though. We already know Jaylen can dominate in the real games and that this shit translates for him. He's an All Star caliber player

My excitement is purely around finally being able to see Jaylen play and the fact that he looks like he'll be 100% for the start of the season. That's what truly matters after watching that video. It's pretty important I feel like that the Celts get off to a good start, and having a healthy Jaylen available and on the floor is a big piece of that puzzle. More than that, it's important that when he does play, he's aggressive. If he's not favoring his wrist at all, I'd say that aggressive style is on the horizon

8 more days until the first preseason game. Just 23 days until the start of the regular season. We're so close you can almost taste it. LFG.
