Yearly Power Move: Travis Steele Rolled Up To Xavier's Bar And Dropped $3,000 Cash For Everyone's Tab ... $1,000 For Each Time He Beat UC

I love this tradition so much. Travis Steele is now 3-for-3 in the Crosstown Shootout. He's also 3-for-3 in showing up to Dana's and dropping $1,000 for every win each year. Dana's is great too. It's the classic dive bar that's made for Xavier. The tradition actually stems back to Pete Gillen and the 90s

Now the one thing you need to know about Dana's is it's a true college bar. $3,000 goes A LONG WAY there. Hell, $30 goes a long way there. They sell Natty Light by the pitcher and this mixed drink called Herschel's which, let's just say does the trick. It's the perfect mix of dive bar, campus bar and sports bar rolled into one. It's exactly what a place like should be that a college coach rolls up to so they can drop some money.

Just another reason college sports is the best man. You can't get this shit anywhere else. Rivalry game, you smoke them and then your coach shows up to drop off a bunch of cash to cover the tabs. I really want to know what's Steele's limit. He's a young dude who could coach at Xavier for a long time. What if he just doesn't lose to UC? Will he drop like 7k at some point? I think I'm now cheering for that. I want to see just how far he'll go.

All I know is this is the yearly power move in college hoops. Never gets old.
