Who Will Win The Battle of Brothers?
After splitting the championship games, I stand 126-151-8 on the season.
Super Bowl LVII
KC +1.5 (o/u 51)
Chiefs 24 Eagles 20
A Super Bowl flushed with storylines. It's Andy Reid looking for his second Lombardi against the team he coached for 12 years. Reid has been with Kansas City for a decade, taking them to three of the last four Super Bowls. With Philadelphia, he made a Super Bowl appearance 18 years ago after losing in the NFC Championship three straight seasons. One of the most successful coaches over the last 20 years and a legend for both franchises.
There are also the Kelce brothers, the first siblings to play against each other in a Super Bowl. The Harbuaghs previously coached against each other in Super Bowl XLVII, but this is the first time that players in the game will be brothers. Both Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce are critical to their team's success. Travis Kelce of the Chiefs has emerged as the best tight end in the NFL and is on the path to Canton, while Jason Kelce with the Eagles has been the best center in the NFL for a decade. Both Kelces will eventually be in the Hall of Fame, but one will get his second ring this weekend.
The week off should benefit the Chiefs, as Patrick Mahomes, who was not 100% against the Bengals, should be ready to go on Sunday. The same is true for Travis Kelce, who is dealing with a back issue. The Eagles had a relatively easy path to the Super Bowl as they continued their domination of the Giants, while the 49ers were finished when Brock Purdy was injured early in the first quarter. Both teams quietly have strong defenses, so that is good for the under, as this game will likely be played in the 20s. The big question is, which quarterback can make the big play when his team needs it? To be that is Patrick Mahomes, which is why the Chiefs will win the game 24-20 to claim their second Lombardi Trophy in four years.
