RIP To The Legendary Jerry Springer

TMZ - Jerry Springer, one of the most influential and controversial figures in TV history, has died … TMZ has confirmed.
Jerry hosted the smash hit syndicated talk show "The Jerry Springer Show" for 27 years … and it was never a boring moment on the raucous and wild show -- which was known for its outrageous guests who usually got into crazy fights as the audience cheered, "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!"
A family spokesperson says Jerry had been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, and this week he took a turn for the worse. He died at his home in the Chicago area.
Jerry Springer is one of those pop culture phenomenons that is hard to explain. A former politician became the host of the most diabolical, over the top, raunchy, scandalous, outrageous talk show to ever exist. There was nothing like it before, and there will certainly never be anything like it again.
It's hard to even put into words how absurd the Jerry Springer Show was. The topics were as off the rails as possible and guests would fight the crowd and/or each other on a regular basis.

And it would just be on TV, right there in the middle of the day. What a time to be alive.
Obviously Jerry Springer carried a lot of controversy with him, but today we mourn the loss of a television revolutionary. RIP. Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
