SlamBall Is Officially Coming To Your Television Next Month After Signing A Media Rights Agreement With ESPN

Oh hell yes. Normally I don't love the idea of reboots, especially when nobody is really asking for one. I think we can all aggree, that is NOT the case when it comes to SlamBall. While it makes me depressed that we've been without it for 20 years which makes me realize how goddamn old I'm getting, it's hard to not love it finally being back in our lives again.
If you're maybe too young to remember SlamBall, just hit play
The ability to body check someone, a head to head face off after a foul, live subs, trampolines, it's about damn time SlamBall made an official comeback and I can't think of a better time than next month. The only sort of basketball we have is Summer League, and I think I'm basically the only person on the planet who cares about that. Add in the nostalgia aspect and I bet the initial ratings on this will be huge.
If this ends up having staying power, I'm hoping every washed up NBA player joins SlamBall compared to going to like Taiwan or wherever Dwight Howard is playing now. I think it would be way more entertaining to see Dwight do something like this than dominate in his current league and then beg other NBA players to join him.
And while we're at it and bringing back basketball leagues/games of my youth, I'd like to formally suggest we take things one step further and bring back MTV's Rock N Jock Basketball as well
You can't tell me you wouldn't watch that again. Few things consumed me as a child in the early to mid 90s like the Rock n Jock era. I know the MTV from those days is long dead, but fuck it bring it back too.
