Being Given a 99 Overall Rating In Madden Is The Most Prestigious Honor A Man Can Be Awarded
Justin Jefferson makes a very, very good point here that I never considered until he tweeted it. Growing up, you made your player on Madden 6'10, 300 pounds, 99 speed, and made him the best possible everything to get a 99 overall rating. And now Justin Jefferson has that IN REAL LIFE. Like, he's good enough organically to get the same rating you would have to create-a-player to achieve. That is NUTS.
I don't know if there is a harder, more prestigious honor a man can achieve. Being president? Nah, being president isn't merit-based, you gotta get in good with the Illuminati and sell your soul to the devil, and all that other stuff. Being an astronaut? Maybe, but astronauts are nerds. Like good job, you read a lot of books, NERD. And besides, the biggest honor and astronaut can get is a trip to the moon and since that's fake the whole job is basically Fugazi. So then it's 99 in Madden. You can't fake that at a sound stage in Nevada.
Now there's only one way to end this blog....the Madden 2004 soundtrack baby! WHAT UP BUBBA SPARXXX!
