Pizzafest Was A Huge Success Despite Kenji Alt Lopez and Washpo Best Attempts to Stop It
Pizzafest was a gigantic success yestereay. 5000 strong showed up in the rain and wind and celebrated a great day of pizza and love. I need to give a sincere and heartfelt thank you to every pizza place and every sponsor involved. After speaking with most of them it was actually shocking the lengths that some of my haters like Kenji Alt Lopez went to try and destroy this event. Now keep in mind I'd never heard of Kenji Lopez Alt prior to this festival when he started publicly attacking me and all our partners for this event.
But until yesterday even I didn't understand just how obsessed Kenji was with ruining this festival. Kenji was not only publicly trying to shame our partners into dropping out he was also privately contacting them as late as the night before the event saying it wasn't too late to drop and saying their dead parents would be ashamed of them. Just horrific despicable behavior from a truly awful narrow minded human being.
So that brings me back to my original point. I can't stress how thankful I am that all the pizza places and sponsors stood by me. Not 1 of them succumbed to what equates to extortion by Kenji Lopez because he disagrees with my perceived politics. And make no mistake about it if Kenji's extortion tactics and threats got just 1 partner to withdraw from the event that would have become a GIGANTIC story and taken on a new a life of its own. Suddenly the story becomes I'm too toxic to do business with and Washpo now has proof for its preconceived narrative. There would be no mention of the non stop harassment from Kenji Lopez and his misguided moral crusade. There would be no mention that Kenji Alt Lopez is the same dude who once said if you support Trump you might as well be a legit Nazi or member of the KKK.

It would have just been that I'm a bad guy and same tired headlines over and over. So again thank you to everybody who came out. Thank you to all the pizza places. Thank you to all the sponsors. It was a nice victory for rational minded people that no matter how loud and crazy the lunatic fringe yell and scream as long as you don't blink they can't win.
