Trump Survives Assassination Attempt

Alright well, this has to be blogged obviously and there's no real guideline or playbook on how to blog a former president/current presidential nominee assassination attempt so what I'm going to do is put in all the info/tweets that we have so far and leave it at that. More so just to like...document it. Obviously we are all in agreement as Americans that no matter what side of the aisle you sit on this is horrific and political violence is terrible. A presidential nominee assassination attempt is as crazy as it gets and we're all glad Trump is ok. And this picture more or less has locked up the campaign for him:

What we know (or is being reported) now is the following:

A sniper outside of the rally took aim at Trump

It is being reported an audience member was struck and killed, and the shooter was killed in return fire. 

Now, the internet is doing great with memes. I am not sure if we are supposed to post them or what. Does that make light of it? There's a lot of good ones though. Lots of "Many Men" edits, lots of Trump as Neo from the Matrix, lots of "Ben Simmons was the shooter", and lots of people wondering why it took Biden 3 fucking hours to say something (napping, probably).

RIP to the victim of the shooting. Much more will come out in the following hours, days, etc. People are running wild with conspiracies already too. It's all crazy. Just a wild day in American history.
