Mel Kiper Is Once Again Ranting And Raving As Shedeur Falls To At Least the 4th Round

Mel Kiper is going to have to be institutionalized after this draft. He can't believe what he's seeing. I mean this is a guy who couldn't believe it when Shedeur fell out of the top 10, nevermind out of the first 3 rounds. And he's, as the kids say, absolutely crashing out. Kiper is losing his marbles right in front of our eyes.

Schefty ain't far behind him either:

The 30 for 30 about what exactly happened during his interviews is going to be amazing. Because that's all we're hearing, he had the worst interviews ever. Matthew Berry actually reported that last month:

What in the world happened in there????

My take on it is pretty simple, and I'm not sure why people are arguing against it-

Shedeur is dropping because teams decided if it's already a coinflip if a QB pans out in the league, it's not worth the additional headache having the circus in town. Even if his tape is better than a QB like Shough's, maybe Shedeur's "brand" doesn't scream "draft me high". And then there's the Deion effect. Teams don't want a helicopter parent overshadowing the team. Is it fair to penalize Shedeur because of his dad? Depends on how you look at it. Shedeur had no problem flashing his fancy watches and cars in college, playing for his dad, so it's definitely a "sleep in the bed you made" situation in my opinion. When you make yourself part of the circus, teams will shy away from bringing the circus to town.

Will Shedeur be a 4th rounder? 5th rounder? Who knows. Let's just pray Mel Kiper is alive to see it. Take a gummie and get some sleep, Melvin.
