'Aren't You Embarrassed?' - Kyle Brandt Perfectly Summed Up And Called Out The Absurd Media Talk All Weekend About Shedeur Sanders

The Monday after the NFL Draft is always one of those weird media days. You get the quotes from all the press conferences, winners and losers despite players not playing a snap yet, whatever it might be. But this year? This year it's still about Shedeur Sanders. Not even just about Shedeur Sanders, it's about the circus around him this year. Not saying he created it, but we all saw Mel Kiper:

We saw Stephen A. Smith do his thing and everyone else scream about collusion and conspiracy theories. At the same time, McShay had this report about what actually happened in a meeting:

Brandt and anyone else with a brain said it perfectly here. Owners, coaches, front offices care about one thing and one thing only winning. Well, money too, but that comes with winning for the most part, unless you're the Cowboys. That's all they care about. Coaches want guys who will help keep their job. Owners want guys who will win games and bring in money. If they thought Shedeur was the guy, they draft him earlier, it's that simple. You can disagree in the sense of being confused how a Dillon Gabriel went earlier, but it's how the Draft works. It's how brains work.

I don't ever remember a media circus like this weekend when it comes to one specific person and where they got drafted. We've seen guys slide every single year, most not to the degree of Shedeur Sanders, but we've seen it. It got to the point that we didn't even hear a word about Cam Ward, also brought up Kyle Brandt here:

He might be the most beloved man in Tennessee right now. But also just goes to show you what we all saw and heard this weekend. Didn't matter what channel you were watching, someone was going on some ridiculous rant about Sheduer Sanders. Brandt had the only right rant so far.

PS: It still cracks me up that Brandt was originally on the Real World. Shout out the Chicago season.Â
