I'm Starting A NBA Expansion Team Called The New Hampshire Granite Today At 3 PM

After bringing a Threepeat to the Orlando Magic franchise last week on Barstool Gametime, I decided a new challenge was needed. Despite building a team that included Shaq, KG, Kobe, Ray Allen, Jason Kidd and Alonzo Mourning, it was time to walk away.

So now, we leave the 1990's behind. I've always been obsessed with expansion teams and used to dream of a team called the New Hampshire Granite when I was a teenager growing up. So, we'll be starting the Granite and doing an expansion draft in what would be September 2024 and head to the future.

A critique of the Magic streams has been that it's too easy because we all know what the future path is for players from the 90's. Like, we all know Shaq, Kobe and KG will be great. There's less risk. Now, that safety net is gone. We can try to tank to draft Cooper Flagg but there is no guarantee he'll be a Hall Of Famer. We won't stock picks for something like the monster 1996 NBA draft.

For these streams, I'm only the GM (so I don't play) and use NBA 2K25. I've been having a blast doing these streams and it was a lot of fun building the Magic with the chat. I get this might not be for everyone but it's a weird sports thing I love to do and if you're in the niche group that also likes team building, join us this week.
