Falcons DC Jeff Ulbrich Was Fined $100K by the NFL for His Son's Prank Call to Shedeur Sanders

Jeff Ulbrich needs to beat his son's ass when he comes home in a couple weeks after Ole Miss stops pretending to have classes. Jax Ulbrich apologized to Shedeur Sanders, but he should have to walk into the Falcons' facility and face the entire front office after costing the team a quarter of a million dollars, too. This kid is just fucking over anybody he can find.

I do think it's fair to question a six-figure fine for Jeff Ulbrich personally when he seemingly didn't know any of this was going on and he obviously wasn't the one who did anything, but he was at least careless with the information that led to this incident, so I guess you have to live with whatever consequences come from that. I don't know what you do the next time you see your kid who cost you $100,000, though. Ulbrich is making great money as an NFL coordinator, but 1) people don't keep those jobs forever and 2) it's not like he's making top-end player money. He's losing nearly a month's salary because his kid is a moron.

Was there ever any doubt that this would somehow involve the Atlanta Falcons? At 10 p.m. on Thursday night, it seemed like we might actually get a run-of-the-mill draft from these guys and then they gave up a mega haul to trade back into the first round for James Pearce and followed that up by having the defensive coordinator's son be the epicenter of the biggest firestorm of the weekend. No other team, man.
