A Former Bush Administration Official Said That The US Government has Spent TRILLIONS of Dollars Building Underground Cities and Systems of Tunnels In The Event Of An Apocalypse

Daily Mail - A former Bush administration official has made a shocking claim that the US government is secretly preparing for a mass extinction event on Earth.

Catherine Austin Fitts, who was the US Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Housing, joined Tucker Carlson on his podcast this week, saying she found $21 trillion in unaccounted funds was diverted to covert projects between 1998 and 2015.

'One of the things I've looked at in the process of looking at where all this money is going is the underground base, city infrastructure and transportation system that's been built,' Fitts said.

Based on a two-year study, Fitts estimated there are approximately 170 underground facilities in the US and potentially under surrounding oceans, connected by a secret transportation network. When Carlson asked about their purpose, Fitts responded, 'A near-extinction event,' suggesting the bases are designed to protect elites during a catastrophic scenario.

Fitts offered few specifics about the impending threat but pointed to climate change, resource mismanagement, natural disasters, geopolitical conflicts, or societal collapse as possible triggers. In a striking revelation, Fitts claimed she was offered a place in an underground base but declined, stating she preferred to 'take my chances on the surface.'

However, the ex-official has touted an elaborate tale about a plot by a 'committee that runs the world,' which she calls 'Mr. Global,' that aims to enslave people through mind control.

So a former Bush administration official Catherine Austin Fitts made headlines after appearing on Tucker Carlson’s podcast and claiming, (with a straight face), that the U.S. government is secretly preparing for a mass extinction event.

According to Fitts, a staggering $21 trillion in “missing” government funds has been funneled into building 170 underground bunkers and a hidden transportation system beneath the United States (and maybe even under the oceans? How that's even possible I haven't the slightest clue).

She says these facilities are being built to shelter the elite from a near-extinction-level event. Climate change, war, resource collapse. Pick your apocalyptic flavor.

The part of conspiracy theories like this that always loses me is the logistics. Something of this scale would require thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of workers, engineers, suppliers, and contractors. Are we supposed to believe all these people have kept their mouths shut for decades? No leaks? No whistleblowers?

Not a single blurry cellphone video from inside one of these alleged subterranean cities? In the age of TikTok, that’s not just unlikely. It’s basically impossible.

(Sidebar - I still don't know what to make of this video that was making the rounds late last year about the alleged tunnel system connecting underground Los Angeles for the elites to access and use. Not saying it's bullshit, but I wouldn't doubt it.)

One thing that can't be debated is that there’s evidence of financial mismanagement. Economists like Mark Skidmore did identify around $21 trillion in unaudited or unexplained adjustments in federal spending between 1998 and 2015. That’s a real issue, and a serious one.

But jumping from budgetary chaos to “billionaire bunkers connected by secret trains” is a wicked big leap.

Catherine Austin Fitts herself has a long history of making, let's call them, "controversial claims."

One of her recurring themes is government mind control.

For real.

She believes technologies exist that can alter your thoughts and behaviors remotely. Her interviews often veer into territory that sounds more like the plot of a dystopian sci-fi film than anything grounded in evidence.

But, playing devils advocate here, to her credit, she’s not entirely off the reservation in her paranoia about elite survivalism.

Bill Gates, for example, famously built a massive home partially into the side of a mountain in Washington state, complete with advanced security and underground features.

Mark Zuckerberg reportedly spent over $270 million in Hawaii on a fortified compound that includes underground bunkers and an escape tunnel system.

These are verifiable facts, not speculative fiction.

The ultra-wealthy do seem to be preparing for something. Whether it’s nuclear war, civil unrest, or climate disaster, who knows? But it doesn’t mean there’s a secret nationwide tunnel network whisking them to safety.

Speaking of tunnels, Chicago is another interesting case. The city has a vast, largely forgotten underground freight tunnel system built in the early 1900s, spanning more than 60 miles beneath the downtown area. While it's not exactly a top-secret escape route, it has fueled plenty of urban legends over the years.

But back to Fitts and her claims. Claiming you were offered a spot in an elite underground shelter, as she did, and then turning it down because you'd “rather take your chances on the surface”? LOL. Ok lady.

It’s fair to question where trillions of taxpayer dollars are really going, let’s not lose the plot. Investigating financial irregularities is important. Believing that the government is secretly preparing for Armageddon by building underground cities only accessible to billionaires? That’s a whole different ball game. And while I wouldn't doubt it for one second, I don't think they have the resources to keep something this big covered up and kept quiet.

P.s. - Also- how the fuck do you build cities and tunnels under the ocean? The Ted Williams tunnel in Boston is one thing. (Shout out JF White) An entire network of cities and tunnels under the sea like Little Mermaid an Atlantis is another.
