The Celtics Completely Choked Away Game 1 In Beyond Horrific Fashion

Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable. The Celtics had every opportunity in the world to punch first and start this series off on the right foot. They were up BY 20 FUCKING POINTS midway through the 3rd quarter. Let me repeat that.
THEY WERE UP BY 20 FUCKING POINTS with under 6 to go in the 3rd.
From there? They completely shit their pants. How else do you say it? They choked. Bad offense played right into the Knicks comeback, which got them within striking distance by the 4th quarter, then the Celts continued to struggle to open the 4th and then once Brunson came back in it was on. They completed the collapse and had to fight like hell for the possibility to even get to OT once the Knicks built a 6 point lead late, and frankly, Jalen Brunson should have ended the game in regulation if not for this miss
In OT the Celts still couldn't stop doing everything they could to lose this game, whether it was more bad offense, missing layups, turning the ball over, or not rebounding. When you play losing basketball, this is what happens. To not even get a final shot off? Brutal
Add in the fact that they set the NBA record for missed 3s (45), and that pretty much sums it up. Tonight, their outside shooting and lack of rebounding did them in and now put them in a terrible spot. Homecourt advantage gone. Knicks with all the momentum in the world, it's the exact opposite of where you want to be. All because you couldn't hold onto a 20 point lead? All because you're offense went down the toilet for an entire half?
It's all so frustrating. You CANNOT drop home playoff games, especially ones you had such a commanding lead in. Now, Game 2 is essentially a must win. The entire dynamic of the series has changed all because the Celtics refused to stop playing like assholes. They fucked around, and this is what happens. You give the opponent life, they will bury you.
Not to mention KP left the game because of sickness even though he was already dogshit and Hauser got hurt. Just an all around awful way to start the series that was completely avoidable. The players didn't execute, the coaching wasn't all that great either, and this is the price you pay.

Well go over the details in the morning, for now I need to just stare at the wall and try and understand how that even happened
