The Lonely Island Movie Is Exactly What I Want It To Be

Three thumbs up to the trailer. Looks exactly what I want it to be, a not-give-a-fuck type movie. One of those movies that spawns 10 copy-cat movies. I love when movies are produced by the people in it and they can get away with so much more than if big studios produce it and cut it pieces. See: Every comedy sequel from the last 5-10 years. Broken Lizard raised all the money to make Super Troopers 2 for that exact reason.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping looks terrific. Just a bunch of funny dudes making the movie they want to make. Not trying hard to pander to anyone. I’ll be a little pissed if Judd Apatow throws his dumb wife or stupid kids into the movie, but that’s my only fear. Coming out June 3rd, Bart Scott can’t wait.
