Odell Beckham Is The Biggest Loser In The World

This fucking dude. I cant even imagine if I was a Giants fan and I had to spin zone him. Everyone in this city is so consumed with waiting for Brandon Marshall to meltdown its like they completely miss the fact that ODB melts down on a weekly basis. Like clockwork you can count on an Odell Beckham hissy fit and some sort of overly dramatic off the field nonsense. If RGIII is that inspirational teenage girl ODB is the angsty emo chick who probably cuts herself for attention. I mean every single game whoever he lines up against is instantaneously in his head. I’m taking instantaneous. And he has the audacity in the post game to say “People dont get in my head.” Josh Norman, in your head. Xavier Rhodes, in your head. Media, in your head. Fans, in your head. Literally anyone that woke up this morning and took a breath, in your head. A goddam kicking net! Inanimate fucking object! Was literally and figuratively in your head after you smashed yourself in the face with it. You’re crying on the sidelines! Crying! And then the cherry on top is some preposterous, self absorbed social media post. Hes turned into a punchline.

The quote from this tweet is from the poem Invictus. Written by William Ernest Henley. He once needed his legs amputated and wrote the poem when recuperating. The poem is also in the movie Invictus, which is about South African apartheid and rugby, and so theres no doubt that Odell Beckham just assumed this was some Nelson Mandela quote. Just cooked up a tweet with a picture of his stupid hair and fired it off because he’s a dramatic little nancy. He complains about how hes treated but hes 1000000% brought this reputation upon himself. As arrogant as can be with zero control of his emotions. An absolute mental wreck.

Now, hes certainly not the first wide receiver diva and he wont be the last. There have been a ton of assholes to play this position that have caught a ton of balls. ODB is the fastest ever to 200 receptions and we’ve all seen some of the plays he can make. He’s physically spectacular. But the difference so far between him and guys like TO and Randy Moss is that their physical gifts always outweighed their mental shortcomings. When the refs blew the whistle and the clock started rolling, they caught balls and scored touchdowns. With Odell Beckham we’ve seen opposing DBs get inside his head, flip his brain into a pretzel, and he subsequently puts up a garbage game. A few series without him getting the ball and he completely unravels on the field. He’s quick to blame refs and cry that he’s a target and unfairly treated and just pack it in and call it a day. You can be a diva in the NFL, just so long as your production never dips. But when you’re getting suspended for games and putting up career lows in yards – when you’re constantly getting penalized and hurting your team – and most importantly when you act delusional in the post game as if its anybody else’s fault other than your own – thats the point where your mental bullshit outweighs your talents. Figure it out, bro. Figure out how to handle Odell Beckham. You’re the only person on the planet who hasnt yet.
