Eric Lindros Taking You Into The Weekend
Eric Lindros will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Monday. I’ve written plenty of blogs in the past professing my love for this man, and have on multiple occasions begged him to adopt me. So I’ll probably write another blog on Monday detailing the career of this beautiful beast but for now, the video will do. The man had Gretzky’s talent with Mario’s body. He was a hybrid. A hockey playing machine that was built to destroy humans and destroy the back of the net. The only problem is the “keep your head up at the blueline” button always malfunctioned so his career was cut short. However, we learned today that there was at least a chance for a Big E comeback just a few years ago.
I honestly can’t think of a single thing in the world that I’d want to see more than Lindros suit up for the Flyers again. They have the Maple Leafs tonight. Maybe Lindros and Hexy can both lace them up and get in the action for old times sake. But yeah. It’s a crime against hockey fans everywhere they we were never able to witness the full greatness of Eric Lindros fulfill itself. But it’s just damn good to see the man get the respect and honor he deserves. What a fucking beauty.
