Nicki Minaj Announced She's Single Now Like An Athlete Declaring For The Draft
People – Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have called it quits.
Minaj, 34, broke the news in a tweet on Thursday, writing: “To confirm, yes I am single. Focusing on my work & looking forward to sharing it with you guys really soon. Have a blessed New Year. Love u.”
Rumors of the couple’s split hit the internet last month after the 29-year-old rapper briefly deleted his Instagram account and his now-former girlfriend began posting cryptic messages hinting that the relationship is over.
There were rumors before the holidays that a breakup was going down between Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill and then they traded subliminal shots back and forth on social media. And while all of it seems pretty childish, this is some quality mental warfare by Nicki Minaj going out there. She’s a million times more famous with way more success and crossover appeal and she’s putting out on social media that she’s toooootally focussed on her work but with the subtext that the Pink Print is open for business again. Broadcasting her availability like that to 20 million followers on Twitter plus all the media outlets picking it up afterwards…even if she’s currently busy making more hits about her gaping vagina, she’s undoubtedly going to get a few dudes willing to put in the elbow grease and give it a shot.
Meanwhile Meek Mill has to sit back and watch all this happen with no real recourse. He probably was excited to be free at first after Drake buried him for his reliance on Nikki during their beef and I’m sure he’s already plowing some Philly hip hop hogs and moving forward like guys usually do. But it’s got to eat you alive when your richer and more famous chick is putting the Open For Business sign out there like that. There’s a million dudes smelling blood, hopefully metaphorically, who would kill for a shot at a chick who’ll bankroll their whole lives, pump up their mixtapes, and probably do a decent job of working a dick as long as you’re cool fucking a curvier plastic version of that girl muppet from the Muppet Show:
