Anyone Else Hate Both Meryl Streep AND Donald Trump?

So obviously this is big news today. Meryl Streep calling out Donald Trump at the Golden Globes. Hollywood Elites vs Make America Great Again. Pick a side, folks, because if you don’t see this as black and white then you are part of the problem! Well guess what, I feel like I stand with the majority of America when I say I kind of hate both of them. Meryl Streep IS a Hollywood elite. She does think lecturing people at a fancy black tie affair will resonate with middle America. She thinks people in Ohio or Indiana or Missouri care more about the “Arts” than basic things like having a job and a house and providing for their families (newsflash, they don’t). She picks and chooses her battles. In 2003 she gave a standing ovation to an alleged rapist, Roman Polanski, she has no problem standing up for her inner circle. It’s a bubble that no one who lives in the real world can relate to, so when she talks to us like she knows the way, it doesn’t resonate whatsoever.

Then on the other side you have Donald Trump, who is trying to pretend like he didn’t make fun of a handicapped journalist. Guess what, he did, he knew exactly what he was doing and he did it anyway. He bullies the press and wants to suppress journalists all over the Country. This is a fact, if you can’t see it then you’re blind. He sues people that say mean things to him and attacks when he’s exposed for lying or fabricating the truth. He wants to play by his own rules and those rules are always changing to best fit Donald Trump and Donald Trump alone. He’s a threat to our freedom, every time the President of the United States gets in a fucking twitter war with a journalist, a hollywood actress, or a country, it’s a very very bad thing.

So where does that leave us? Well it leaves us exactly where people like me have been for some time right now. Hatred for both sides because they both drive me insane. I don’t really know what the point of this blog was other than to get it off my chest. Most people don’t think like either extreme, most people are like me and see fundamental flaws on both sides, but on twitter and with the 2017 media, that feels almost impossible.
