LeBron James Ripped Charles Barkley To Shreds For Being " A Hater"

ESPN- After years of being fodder for Charles Barkley to comment on in his role as an analyst on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” LeBron James has heard enough. “He’s a hater,” James told ESPN of Barkley following the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 104-97 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. “What makes what he says credible? Because he’s on TV?”

James had been stewing the past couple of days after Barkley took James to task for the four-time MVP calling out the Cavs for needing to fortify the roster with another playmaker to have a realistic shot at a repeat title. “Inappropriate. Whiny. All of the above,” Barkley said of James last week. “The Cleveland Cavaliers, they have given him everything he wanted. They have the highest payroll in NBA history. He wanted J.R. Smith last summer, they paid him. He wanted [Iman] Shumpert last summer. They brought in Kyle Korver. He’s the best player in the world. Does he want all of the good players? He don’t want to compete? He is an amazing player. They’re the defending champs.”

“I’m not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that,” James told ESPN. “I’m not the one who threw somebody through a window. I never spit on a kid. I never had unpaid debt in Las Vegas. I never said, ‘I’m not a role model.’ I never showed up to All-Star Weekend on Sunday because I was in Vegas all weekend partying. “All I’ve done for my entire career is represent the NBA the right way. Fourteen years, never got in trouble. Respected the game. Print that.”

“Go watch the ’93 Finals when John Paxson hit the shot,” James said. “Barkley and Jordan were laughing and joking with each other during one of the games while somebody’s shooting a free throw. In the Finals. But, oh, nobody were friends back then.”

“I know he wanted to retire a long time ago, but he can’t,” James said. “He’s stuck up on that stage every week.” James then issued a challenge, of sorts. “And if this makes him want to talk to me, the schedule’s out there,” James said. “He knows every road arena I’ll be in. Don’t just come up to me at All-Star and shake my hand and smile.”

Look at LeBron roasting Sir Charles on a random Monday night! Charles Barkley, while always being unfiltered and funny, has grown into the definition of a hater. He has been the old man yelling at a cloud for years now and one of the clouds finally yelled back. He loves telling us how everything today stinks while everything back in his day was great. The kids keep step on his grass, show no respect, and he’s had about enough of it. Blah blah fucking blahhh. Which is why I’m happy to LeBron took his ass to the wood shed. Barkley acts like he wasn’t traded twice in his career. That he didn’t play grab ass with MJ as Michael was getting ready to rip Barkley’s heart out. That he wasn’t an asshole during his playing days that did some stupid shit. And don’t get me wrong, I would love to have partied with Charles Barkley. One night out with the Chuck Wagon is a night you never forget or tell your wife about. But the line about Charles basically being forced to work like he’s chained up at Moron Mountain was an absolute kill shot by LeBron. Le’Veon Bell could learn a thing or two about ripping someone apart from that line.

But at the same time, this is still LeBrawwwwn Jaaaaames we are talking about here. Literally nothing Barkley said about the Cavs roster and payroll is false. LeBron has been a whiny bitch forever now and this latest griping about his team is LeBron 101. Passive aggressive and transparent as fuck. The only thing worse than LeBron saying he’s not the GM of the Cavs is him thinking we believe him when he says it. They are the DEFENDING CHAMPS with almost everyone back (they are admittedly missing a Hall of Fame glue guy in Delly). But they just got Kyle Korver for peanuts and play in the far inferior conference. So excuse me if I don’t shed a tear for LeBron not liking that his team isn’t a 99 overall. If he doesn’t like seeing the haters, I have something for him.

And what if Charles actually does respond? Is LeBron going to say how you shouldn’t disrespect him because he’s a father of three? He’s always made himself a moving target and beyond reproach, yet will go soft as butter if he feels like it. But maybe not because this time LeBron is really angry guys. In the immortal words of Owen Hart “Enough is enough and it’s time for a change.”

“I’m tired of biting my tongue,” James said. “There’s a new sheriff in town.”

Be right back, my eyes just rolled to the back of my skull.

Okay I’m back. So now if I know anything about LeBron, we just have to wait until he unleashes a cryptic tweet that he will say means nothing even though we know he’s lying. Oh wait, he already did that!

Here we fucking go again. How long until LeBron takes his week-long relaxation trip to Miami for some “LeBron time”?
