The Blackhawks are never out of any series, so while losing Game 1 at home is always disappointing, this series is still right there for the Blackhawks. It takes 16 wins, not one. This team, this core, and this staff knows that. That guy right there, he’s not going to let this team falter. I wrote a recap blog that talked about a few adjustments the Hawks can make in Game 2. They can play chip and chase a bit more, they can activate their defense in the zone to create confusion, they can match Kane’s line against Johansen’s and try to make it a track meet. None of that matters if the effort isn’t better than it was in Game 1. The Blackhawks need to dictate the play, come at the Predators in waves with a 5 man attack, and pile up the heavy shifts against that defense. Makes them want to quit when the puck is in their end, and get in Rinne’s face. Win #1 of 16 starts tonight, lets go!
