Angel Reese Says "I Guess Some People Got A Special Whistle" After Almost Taking Caitlin Clark's Head Off
CALLED IT!!!! And now my WNBA Parlay of the Day officially cashes. I had Angel Reese doing something that shows her clear hatred and jealousy of Caitlin Clark paired with her playing the victim card afterwards at -650. It's not much but that's like parlaying the sun will come up tomorrow with the sky being blue. A no-brainer. But regardless, like I said right after the Flagrant Foul, Angel Reese was definitely going to play the victim card in her post game press conference. Forget that she's 6th in the WNBA in free throw attempts. In her mind, the proper response to nearly taking Caitlin Clark's head off was to go say that "some people got a special whistle".
Reminder: she literally close-lined Caitlin Clark and there's really no other take you can have on it.
I also love that she went on to talk about her and her teammate Kamilla Cardoso getting double-doubles once again shows that no one can stop them, despite the refs trying. (Uhh, you're also 4-9, having lost 4 straight and 8 of your last 10....)
Serious question: is there any chance that Angel Reese is secretly being paid to create drama and keep people talking about the WNBA? Because if that's the case, Angel Reese might be the best person at their job in the history of jobs. But unfortunately the more likely alternative is that she is so dumb and still thinks the world is out to get her. I'm not saying she needs thrown out of the game, or even that it's not part of a normal basketball game, but to commit that foul and say "some people got a special whistle" is the stance of someone who needs to be locked in a psych ward.
Meanwhile, as I also predicted, Caitlin Clark took the high road once again:
I will say this to the script writers of the WNBA: it's becoming too predictable! Angel hates Caitlin, does something ridiculous, plays the victim, and Caitlin takes the high road. Work on a new story or else the people are going to get bored of this one that's already happened no less than a million times.
